Lastovo to become Croatian Nature Park

The Croatian Ministry of Culture has confirmed yesterday that it has officially started a legal procedure of establishing Lastovo and its archipelago as a new Nature Park of Croatia. According to croatian news agency Hina and some other sources, the future Lastovo Nature Park will be called Nature Park "Lastovsko Otocje" ( Lastovo Archipelago).

Starting today with draw at Grand Hotel Elaphusa, matches start tommorrow, sunday 07.10. @ 10am on Tennis Center Bol.
Players are divided into following categories: Men 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60, Women 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55.
Players party is on 9.10. at Grand Hotel Elaphusa, and award ceremony on 12.10.

First North American Flight direct to Zagreb

This is big news indeed. Skyservice Airlines has just started a direct route from Toronto to Zagreb, the first flight directly from North America to Croatia. The weekly Skyservice flight will leave Toronto every Wednesday at 10.45pm, arriving in Zagreb at 3pm. The return flight leaves Zagreb Thursdays at 7pm arriving in Toronto at 12.34am.

Skyservice has been running charter flights to Zagreb since 2004 but the new regularly scheduled flight has been a big success. The maiden flight was June 20; all went well and we can assume that Canada’s Canadian community was delighted with the news. We can also assume that tickets will sell out pretty soon so book now at Skyservice!

Dalmatian Islands Among World Top Ten

It's now official! We have been saying it for years, but now US magazine "Travel and Leisure" has ranked the Dalmatian Islands at #7 in the World's Top Ten Island Destinations. It didn not feature at all last year and we suspect that it's current ranking, and the no show last year, has more to do with not being completely "on the radar" than it does about the true merits of Dalmatia as an oustanding world class destination. So expect to see it in the top five next year, as it certainly deserves to be there.

"Adio lito" - Summer farewell party

Each year, bol says goodbay to summer on 23.09.
There was a big party, with live music, cooked risoto meal of 3000 portions, presented dalmatian cousine delicates and huge fireworks show.
