Sights in Bol
1. Art Gallery "Branislav Dešković" -
a Renaissance-baroque palace from the end of 17th century with a vast
balcony.
2. 3 Castles - defense towers
dated far before Roman time, also were used by the Romans for defense
purposes
3. The baroque church of Our Lady of Mount Caramel was
enlarged at the end of 18th century. It is remarkable for its vivid
front with restless wave-like lines.
4. The Dominican monastery - On its present site there
was in 1184 the Episcopal palace in which that year the session of Brač
Council was held under patronage of the Prince.
5. The Monastery museum -contains interesting collection of prehistoric
excavated items, a rich numismatic collection, a collection of
underwater archeology, a collection of mass-robes, rich archives, Early
Christian Sarcophagus, valuable paintings and much more.
6. St. John and Theodore church - the oldest parish church, a notable monument
from the 11th to 12th century.

on Zlatni rat

9. "Desert Blaca" - Formerly the famous hermitage of the Glagolitic Order erected on a high, steep cliff.
